TRACKING ANTIBODY TESTING IS IMPORTANT!
Knowing your COVID-19 antibody status is important to REDUCE and REMOVE fear of the unknown and to help those around you better protect themselves – and you.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT
After you call our office to request a test, we will send you an online questionnaire about your current symptoms. If you are symptom free, we can schedule your 15 minute appointment on a Monday through Thursday.
On the day of your test, you will arrive at our location and text or call us from the parking lot to let us know you are here. We will then let you know when to come in. Once seated, we will draw between 1-4 ml of blood from your arm, which will be sent overnight to our testing lab. Results are normally provided within 24 to 48 hours.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST
The antibody test is $139, regardless of whether you have insurance.
HOW AND WHEN CAN YOU KNOW IF YOU HAVE COVID-19 ANTIBODIES?
There are important stages that you go through after you exposure to the novel coronavirus. In the first 10 days, the virus will only show up through a nasal swab test or stool sample. After that time, your immune system develops antibodies as a response to the virus. The first short term antibody is called IgM. Then you develop the IgG antibody over the long term that makes gives you immunity to the virus. The trouble with a new virus (Novel Virus) is that we do not know at what point you were exposed to it. So it may be necessary to test you multiple times to plot your immune response over a specific amount of time.
